Archive drawer for letter files

The Storex 61106U01C is a heavy-duty archive drawer built to hold letter-size hanging folders. Its 24-inch depth suits offices that need high-density document storage in a single unit. The light grey polypropylene body keeps weight low while maintaining rigidity. It targets administrators who want a durable, stackable solution without metal shelving.

Thermals noise and power

The box is a passive plastic container with no moving parts, so it produces no noise and draws no power. Its polypropylene walls do not generate heat and require no ventilation. Normal use simply involves sliding the drawer in and out on a flat surface. Thermal, acoustic and electrical factors are therefore irrelevant to this product.

Built-in label holder and stack tabs

A moulded label holder on the front face lets you identify contents at a glance without adhesive labels. Insert tabs on the top and bottom lock up to ten units together vertically, preventing lateral shift when the stack is bumped. These two features turn a basic bin into an organised, stable filing tower for archive rooms.

Questions about this item

How do I stack the 61106U01C boxes safely, and what step is often missed?

Use the included insert tabs between each box; skipping the tabs is the common mistake that makes a tower unstable.

What part of the 61106U01C will need replacement first under normal office use?

The built-in label holder or insert tabs can crack after repeated re-labelling or re-stacking; the polypropylene shell itself lasts for years.

At what load does the 61106U01C drawer start to bow when fully extended?

The drawer is rated for letter-size folders stacked to the 24.3" depth; exceeding that fill level is the first limit you will hit.
