Pontiac Torrent 2007-2009 GPS stereo

The Strafriture GPS Navigation unit is a dedicated replacement radio for Pontiac Torrent models from 2007 to 2009. It combines an OLED touchscreen with a built-in GPS module and 32GB of internal storage. The plug-and-play design matches the factory dashboard opening for straightforward installation. Wireless CarPlay and wired Android Auto bring smartphone integration to the cabin.

Upgrade from basic factory radio

This unit replaces the original non-touchscreen head unit that lacks navigation and smartphone mirroring. The jump is worth it when you need offline maps, Mirror Link phone projection, and a rear-view camera input without rewiring the entire dash. It adds modern connectivity while retaining the OEM look and steering-wheel controls.

Owners keeping their 2007-2009 Torrent

Suits drivers who want navigation, Bluetooth audio, and a reversing camera on the stock dashboard. Not for buyers who need 360-degree panoramic view, as the system does not support that function natively. Also not for vehicles outside the listed model years or for owners unwilling to use the supplied camera if the factory unit is incompatible.

Questions about this item

Will this unit fit the dashboard opening of my 2007-2009 Pontiac Torrent without modifications?

The unit is designed as a plug-and-play replacement for the Torrent 2007-2009, matching the factory aperture so no cutting or brackets are required.

Which wiring step causes the most problems when connecting the rear-view camera input?

The camera input only accepts a CVBS 720P signal; connecting an incompatible original camera without checking its specification is the common mistake.

What component will need attention if the GPS maps stop updating correctly?

The internal GPS module relies on Wi-Fi or hotspot access for online map refreshes; loss of that connection halts updates.
