Fanless Chassis Design

The Streacom ST-FC10S-ALPHA-OPT is a fanless computer case built for silent operation. Its aluminium construction acts as a heatsink to dissipate heat without moving parts. This design suits users who need a completely noise-free system for living rooms or studios.

Installation And Clearance

Optimised internal airflow comes from a revised bottom panel and drive tray layout. Expansion slots are adjusted to fit dual-slot graphics cards, while USB 3.0 ports on both side panels improve access. Builders must verify component thermal limits because the chassis relies on passive cooling alone.

Storage Capacity And Limits

The updated drive tray allows more drives than the original FC10 and supports the optional optical drive tray. Internal space is finite, so large multi-drive arrays or oversized cards may not fit. Buyers needing extensive storage bays should check dimensions before purchase.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Streacom ST-FC10S-ALPHA-OPT is dissipating heat correctly after assembly?

Monitor CPU and GPU temperatures under load; the aluminium chassis and uprated heatpipes should keep them within safe limits without any fan noise.

What components are included with the Streacom ST-FC10S-ALPHA-OPT and what must I source separately?

The chassis, heatpipes, mounting hardware, optical drive tray, dual USB 3.0 ports on both side panels and a white power LED are included; motherboard, CPU, cooler, drives and expansion cards are not.

Should I choose the version with or without the optical drive opening for my Streacom ST-FC10S-ALPHA-OPT build?

Select the optical-drive version only if you need a 5.25-inch drive; otherwise the solid-panel model preserves the clean sandblast finish and maximum internal space.
