Compact 540-lumen lantern for emergencies

The Streamlight Siege 44931 delivers up to 540 lumens of 360° white light from a rugged polymer body. It runs on three D alkaline batteries and includes a removable globe for diffused or maximum output. The coyote-coloured unit floats and meets IPX7 immersion resistance for marine or storm use.

Sustained output across multiple modes

High, medium and low white settings plus a red LED with steady and SOS flash let users match brightness to runtime needs. Low mode reaches 295 hours while the recessed power button prevents accidental activation during storage. Red modes preserve night vision and provide signalling capability.

Built for hanging and rough handling

An ergonomic handle and D-rings on both ends allow upright or inverted suspension inside tents, on branches or from vehicle hooks. The polymer construction survives 1 m submersion for 30 minutes and floats if dropped in water. No integrated charging or rechargeable cells are included.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 540-lumen LED produce after hours of continuous use?

The LED runs cool and silent; the rugged polymer body stays comfortable to touch even on high mode, and there are no moving parts to create noise.

What power source must I already have to operate the 44931 lantern?

You need three D-cell alkaline batteries; they are not included with the lantern.

Will the IPX7-rated housing survive being stored with older camping gear that may be damp?

Yes, the lantern is waterproof to one metre for 30 minutes and floats, so damp gear or accidental immersion will not damage it.
