Product identity

The Sunpentown SK-1715S is a 1.7L electric kettle with a stainless steel body and a 360° swivel base. It uses a 1500W concealed heating element for fast boiling and includes dry-boil protection with automatic shut-off.

Who this suits and who it does not

This kettle suits households that need quick hot water for tea, coffee or instant meals without a stove. It is not for buyers who want a larger capacity than 1.7L, variable temperature settings or a glass body.

Sustained use behaviour

The concealed element reduces mineral build-up during repeated boiling cycles, while the anti-scale mesh filter traps particles over time. The stay-cool handle remains comfortable during frequent lifts and the auto shut-off engages reliably after each boil.

Questions about this item

What power supply does the SK-1715S need to deliver its 1500W output?

The kettle plugs into a standard household outlet and draws 1500W during operation.

Will the 360° swivel base still work if I keep using my older kettle's power cord?

The SK-1715S includes its own integrated base; the cord is not removable, so an older cord cannot be used.

How do I know the auto shut-off is working after the water boils?

The power indicator light turns off and heating stops automatically once the water reaches boiling point.
