A 300 W server power supply delivering +12 V at 22 A, +5 V and +3.3 V at 12 A each, and +5 VSB at 2 A
The Supermicro PWS-302-1S is a 300 W AC-DC unit built for 1U rackmount chassis. It delivers +12 V at 22 A, +5 V at 12 A, +3.3 V at 12 A and +5 VSB at 2 A. The form factor suits compact servers or workstations that require redundant or hot-swap power modules.
When an existing 1U supply cannot sustain peak loads on the +12 V rail, this 300 W model adds headroom for additional drives or expansion cards. The jump is worth it if the current unit trips under combined rail demand or if the chassis documentation specifies a 300 W minimum.
Installation follows the standard 1U hot-swap tray: remove the blank or failed module, insert this unit until the latch engages, and secure the thumbscrew. Common issues include mismatched backplane connectors on non-Supermicro chassis and forgetting to verify that the system power budget matches the 300 W rating.

The PWS-302-1S is a 1U server power supply designed to slide into a standard 1U redundant or single PSU bay.
Slide the unit into the chassis until the latch clicks, then secure the retention screw; the step often missed is tightening that screw, which keeps the AC inlet seated.
The fan is rated for continuous server duty; plan to inspect it during routine chassis cleaning and replace it if bearing noise appears.
