Compatible EMC CX4-120240480 replacement

This unit is a new server power supply built to match the EMC 071-000-559 and 523 part numbers. It fits the CX4-120240480 chassis and carries the SPAEMCM-08 02X6PG designation. IT managers maintaining existing EMC arrays can install it directly without adapter cables.

Standard server thermal profile

The supply uses the original cooling design for the CX4 platform, drawing air through the chassis in normal rack operation. Power output follows the 071-000-559/523 specification so heat load and acoustic levels stay consistent with the factory configuration. No extra fan control or firmware steps are required.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 071-000-559/523 CX4-120240480 SPAEMCM-08 02X6PG power supply into my EMC server?

Slide the unit into the power supply bay until the latch clicks into place, then secure the retention screw; the step most people miss is tightening that screw, which prevents the module from unseating under vibration.

What maintenance or replacement will the 071-000-559/523 CX4-120240480 SPAEMCM-08 02X6PG power supply need later?

Plan to clean the intake vents every six months and replace the internal fan if bearing noise appears; the unit itself is a hot-swap module so a full swap takes seconds without tools.
