  • Supports P550 and P55A server models
  • Replaces IBM part numbers 42R8401 and 39J5638

Replacement Power Supply for IBM 7889

This 1050W unit is built as a direct replacement for the IBM 7889 AWF-9DC and 9133-55A P550 servers. It matches the original part numbers 42R8401 and 39J5638 to ensure correct fit and function. IT administrators maintaining these specific legacy platforms can use it to restore redundant power capacity. It is not suitable for builders working with standard ATX chassis or non-IBM server hardware.

Hot-Swap Server Module with Redundant Design

The supply uses the proprietary IBM form factor required for hot-swap installation in the target P550 and 7889 enclosures. Its connector layout aligns with the original backplane so the module seats securely without cable adapters. This design supports N+N redundancy when a second unit is populated in the chassis. Operators needing standard 24-pin ATX output or modular cabling for custom builds cannot use this module.
