Supersuperuncle 10G 850nm fibre optic cable AFBR-703SDZ

SKU CH-5PG8-8XEQ7

Connects Avago 10G multimode SFP+ modules at 850nm wavelength

  • Designed for 10G multimode links
  • Compatible with Avago AFBR-703SDZ SFP+ modules
  • Operates at 850nm wavelength for short-range fibre
  • Supports high-speed data transmission over multimode fibre

Compatibility

This cable is designed for the Avago AFBR-703SDZ SFP+ transceiver operating at 850 nm. It suits network administrators building or maintaining 10G multimode links in data-centre or campus environments. Buyers who need single-mode reach or a different connector type cannot use this product.

Thermals and power

The passive cable assembly draws no power and generates no measurable heat during normal operation. It adds no acoustic noise to the rack and requires no external power budget beyond the transceiver itself.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 10G 850nm SFP+ module and what step is often missed?

Insert the module into the SFP+ port until it clicks, then remove the dust caps and connect the duplex LC fibre patch cord; the step often missed is removing the caps before linking.

What maintenance will the 10G 850nm fibre link need over time?

Inspect and clean the LC connector end-faces with a fibre microscope and cleaning pen whenever signal loss appears; the module itself has no user-serviceable parts.
