1200W Server PSU for EMC VNX Arrays

This 1200-watt power supply is built for EMC VNX5100, VNX5300 and VNX5500 storage arrays. It fits the 078-000-085 and 078-000-084 part numbers along with the 063 and 064 variants. The unit ships new and is intended for data-centre deployments that require a direct replacement module.

Replaces failed or degraded OEM units in supported

The jump is worth it when an existing supply has failed, is reporting errors or when a maintenance window calls for a fresh module. It is not for builders assembling custom servers, for arrays outside the VNX5100/5300/5500 line or for workloads that need a different wattage or form factor.

Questions about this item

Will this 1200W unit fit the EMC VNX5100, VNX5300 and VNX5500 chassis?

The power supply carries part numbers 078-000-085 and 078-000-084/063/064, which match the EMC VNX5100, VNX5300 and VNX5500 server models, so it seats in their standard PSU bays.

What is the correct way to seat this supply, and what step do installers often miss?

Slide the unit into the bay until the latch clicks, then tighten the captive thumb-screw; the step often missed is fully engaging the latch before securing the screw.
