14-pin Lenovo server PSU replacement

This new 14-pin power supply replaces the original unit in compatible Lenovo servers. It fits the a2600k, a6000k, a4600k, m4600n-00, m2200r and m2090v models directly. Builders maintaining these specific systems can install it without adapter cables or pin modifications. It is not for owners of servers using a different pin count or proprietary connector layout.

Standard server thermal profile

The unit follows the standard thermal design for this server class, drawing cool air through the chassis and exhausting heat at the rear. Fan speed scales with load to balance cooling and acoustic output. Power draw matches the installed components and workload rather than a fixed maximum. No separate noise or efficiency ratings are provided for this replacement part.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 14-pin connector into my Lenovo a2600k without bending pins?

Align the keyed 14-pin plug with the motherboard socket, press straight down until the latch clicks, and avoid angling the connector during insertion.

What maintenance will the fan inside this power supply need over time?

Use compressed air to clear dust from the intake vents every six months; the fan is not user-serviceable, so replace the entire unit if bearing noise develops.
