550W Redundant Server Supply

The Supersuperuncle unit is a 550W redundant power supply designed for 2U server chassis. It delivers continuous power through hot-swappable modules that maintain uptime during replacement. The supply fits standard redundant bays and supports common server backplanes. It is built for new deployments or direct replacement in compatible systems.

For High-Availability Server Builds

This supply suits administrators who need N+1 redundancy in a 2U form factor. It is not for desktop PC builders who require ATX connectors and standard mounting. Buyers needing higher wattage per module should look at larger redundant units. Systems without a redundant backplane cannot use this form factor.

Questions about this item

Should I select the 550W redundant unit or a single-module alternative?

Choose the 550W redundant unit when the server chassis accepts hot-swap CRPS modules and the workload cannot tolerate a single-point-of-failure; a single module leaves no backup if that unit fails.

What does the 550W rating deliver inside a 2U server?

The 550W rating is the continuous power each module can supply to the motherboard, drives and add-in cards while sharing the load with its partner module in the redundant pair.
