460W upgrade PSU for DELL workstations

This 460 watt server power supply is built for DELL 9020, T1700 and T3620 systems. It targets owners of those workstations who need more power than the original unit provides. The dual 6-pin connectors support a high-power graphics card upgrade.

Replaces the standard factory power supply

The unit replaces the lower-wattage PSU shipped with the 9020, T1700 or T3620 when a discrete GPU demands auxiliary power. The jump is worth it if the current supply lacks 6-pin leads or cannot sustain the graphics card load. Builders staying with the original graphics configuration do not need this replacement.

Questions about this item

Will this 460W unit fit my Dell 9020 tower chassis?

It is built for the Dell 9020, T1700 and T3620 form factors, so the mounting holes and overall dimensions match those models.

Which cables must I connect for a dual 6-pin graphics card upgrade?

Plug both 6-pin PCIe leads from the supply into the card; the common mistake is using only one connector and leaving the second unpowered.
