Sustained Load Behaviour

The 525W rating indicates the continuous power the supply is designed to deliver to system components. Under sustained load the unit maintains output within its specified limits for the supported Dell platforms. It is not intended for systems requiring higher wattage or different connector layouts.

Questions about this item

How much power does this 525W unit draw from the wall when the Dell workstation runs all day?

The supply is rated at 525W output; actual wall draw depends on the components inside your T3420, T3620, T1700, T20 or T30 and will be higher than the DC load due to efficiency losses.

Which power cables must my Dell motherboard already provide for this supply to connect?

The unit uses an 8+4+8 pin graphics connector layout, so the host system needs matching 8-pin, 4-pin and second 8-pin headers on the motherboard or riser.
