835W replacement for IBM X3650

This 835 watt unit is built as a direct replacement for the IBM X3650 server and matches part numbers 24R2731, 24R2730 and DPS-835AB A. It supplies the rated output the original chassis expects and is sold in new condition. It is not intended for desktop ATX cases or for servers that require a different form factor or wattage rating.

Hot-plug installation with part-number checks

The supply slides into the server bay and locks with the integrated latch so no tools are required for the swap. Verify that the label on the old unit shows 24R2731, 24R2730 or DPS-835AB A before ordering because mismatched part numbers are the most common cause of a failed fit. Ensure the server firmware is current to avoid a false power-good fault after the change.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 835W unit is delivering power to the IBM X3650 after installation?

The server will POST normally and the front-panel power LED stays solid green, showing the supply is operating within its 835W rating.

Does the package include the 24R2731 and 24R2730 cables or do I need to source them separately?

Only the DPS-835AB A power supply itself is included; the IBM 24R2731 and 24R2730 cables must be purchased separately if your chassis does not already have them.
