SKU CH-24ER-3J960

A 2G Gigabit multimode SFP fiber optic module for compatible networking equipment

  • 2 Gbps data rate supports fast network links
  • Multimode fibre compatibility suits short-range connections
  • SFP form factor fits standard switch slots
  • New condition ensures reliable out-of-box operation

8519 SFP module for Finisar compatibility

This new Supersuperuncle SFP fibre optic module matches the Finisar FTRJ8519P1BNL-B1 form factor. It provides a 2G Gigabit multimode link for server and storage networks. The unit slots directly into standard SFP ports on compatible switches and host bus adapters.

Build integration and slot requirements

Installation requires an available SFP cage that accepts multimode transceivers. The module draws power from the host port and leaves PCIe slots free for other expansion cards. Builders needing single-mode reach or higher data rates must select a different transceiver.

Questions about this item

What throughput limit does the 8519 SFP module hit first under sustained load?

The 8519 SFP module operates at a 2 Gbps line rate, so sustained traffic saturates at that throughput before any thermal throttle occurs.

What is the typical power draw of the 8519 module when running continuously?

The 8519 SFP module is a 2 Gbps multimode transceiver; small-form-factor optics of this class typically draw well under 1 W during continuous operation.
