  • SFP+ form factor fits standard switch and router cages
  • FTLF 8528P2BCV-QL part code ensures exact module compatibility

8G fibre module for internet cafés

This 8G fibre module operates at 850 nm using multimode SFP+ optics and carries the part number FTLF 8528P2BCV-QL. It is supplied new and intended for internet café deployments that need short-range 8G links over multimode fibre.

Capacity and headroom

The module provides an 8G data rate over multimode fibre at 850 nm, which is suitable for typical internet café uplink distances. It does not support single-mode fibre or longer-reach wavelengths, so installations requiring extended range or different fibre types will need alternative transceivers.

Questions about this item

Will this 8G 850nm SFP+ module link with my existing OM3 multimode patch cables?

Yes, the 850 nm wavelength and multimode design are made for OM3 fibre, so the module will establish an 8 Gbit link over your current patch leads.

How can I confirm the FTLF 8528P2BCV-QL is operating correctly after installation?

Check the switch port LEDs for a solid link light and verify the interface shows an 8 Gbit speed with zero CRC errors in the port statistics.
