A 250-watt server power supply for the Dell PowerVault 128T storage array

  • Designed for Dell PowerVault 128T systems
  • 250 watt output powers the 128T chassis
  • 8G308 part number ensures correct fit
  • New condition supplies reliable replacement stock

Dell 8G308 PowerVault Replacement

This 250W server power supply is built for the Dell PowerVault 128T tape library. It suits IT teams maintaining that specific storage array and needing a direct replacement unit. The part matches the original 8G308 specification for compatible systems. Buyers running different Dell tape libraries or non-Dell storage hardware should verify fitment before ordering.

Hot-plug design eases installation

The supply slides into the library’s redundant bay without tools and locks with a single latch. Alignment tabs prevent upside-down insertion, so the most common error is forcing the unit before the tabs engage. No cables route inside the chassis; the connector mates automatically when the module seats fully. Confirm the library firmware recognises the new module before closing the rack door.

Check the front panel LEDs on the PowerVault 128T enclosure; a steady green power light confirms the 8G308 unit is delivering 250W to the system.

The 8G308 power supply module ships alone; mounting screws, power cables and the PowerVault 128T chassis are not included and must be obtained separately.
