Lenovo P720 900W server supply

This 900 watt server power supply is built as a direct replacement for the Lenovo P720 workstation. It matches the Delta DPS-900EB A specification and carries the 54Y8979 part reference. The unit is supplied new and is intended for system integrators or IT teams restoring original power capacity to a compatible chassis.

Installation and common issues

The supply uses the proprietary connector and form factor defined for the P720, so installation follows the workstation's standard removal and replacement procedure. No adapter cables or chassis modifications are required when the correct bay is used. Verify that the existing power distribution board and backplane match the Delta pin-out before fitting. Builders using a different workstation model or a custom server chassis will find the connector and mounting points incompatible.
