HP DL360 G2 compatible server PSU

This power supply is a direct replacement for the HP DL360 G2 server using part numbers PS-6251-3C, 252361-001 and 261437-001. It is built for administrators restoring or maintaining that specific platform. It is not suited for ATX desktop builds or servers with different form factors.

Standard server thermals and fixed fan profile

The unit uses the original server fan profile to exhaust heat through the chassis rear. Acoustic output follows the host system fan curve and will be louder than typical desktop power supplies. Power draw scales with the connected server load.

Questions about this item

How do I install the PS-6251-3C power supply into the DL360G2 server and what step is often missed?

Slide the PS-6251-3C unit into the DL360G2 bay until the latch clicks, then press the release lever to lock it; the step often missed is fully engaging that lever so the supply seats on the backplane connectors.

What maintenance or replacement will the PS-6251-3C need over time?

The internal fan is the only moving part; expect to clean dust from its intake every few months and replace the whole PS-6251-3C unit if the fan fails or output voltages drift.
