460 W 1U server power supply for dual-CPU systems

This unit delivers 460 W in a 1U form factor and includes dual 8-pin CPU connectors for multi-processor boards. It is built for rack-mount servers and industrial control chassis that require redundant or high-density power. Buyers needing higher wattage or additional PCIe connectors for GPU compute should consider other models.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The supply operates within standard 1U airflow paths and draws up to 460 W from the mains under full load. Fan speed scales with internal temperature to balance cooling and acoustic output. No specific decibel or efficiency figures are provided by the manufacturer.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 460W 1U server power supply and what step is often missed?

Slide the unit into the 1U bay until the latch clicks, then connect both 8-pin CPU cables; the step often missed is securing the retention screw that prevents vibration disconnect.

What maintenance or replacement will the FSP460-60 need later?

Clean the intake vents every six months to avoid dust buildup; replace the internal fan if bearing noise appears, and swap the entire unit if output voltage drifts beyond spec.
