10G SFP+ 80KM Transceiver

The Supersuperuncle FTLX1871M3BCL is a new SFP+ optical module operating at 10G with a 1550nm wavelength for 80KM reach. It suits network engineers extending fibre links between data-centre switches or campus buildings. Buyers needing shorter-reach or multi-mode optics should select a different module.

Hot-plug SFP+ installation

The transceiver inserts into any standard SFP+ cage without tools or configuration. Dust caps must stay on until the moment of mating to avoid contaminating the single-mode ferrules. Mismatched wavelengths or exceeding the 80KM link budget are the typical causes of signal loss.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 1550 nm module is transmitting at 10 G after installation?

Check the link status LEDs on the connected switch or router and verify a 10 G connection is established over the 80 km single-mode fibre path.

Does the FTLX1871M3BCL arrive with any cables or patch cords in the box?

The module ships alone; compatible LC duplex single-mode patch cables must be purchased separately for the 80 km link.
