SKU CH-HD51-NS519

800 W server power supply for HP DL380 G5 systems, 12 V output with mute operation

  • 800W output powers demanding HP DL380G5 servers
  • 12V single-rail design delivers stable voltage to components
  • Mute operation reduces acoustic noise in rack environments
  • Compatible with part numbers 379123-001 and 403781-001 for direct replacement

HP DL380 G5 compatible 800W supply

This 800 watt server power supply is built for the HP ProLiant DL380 G5 platform and matches part numbers 379123-001 and 403781-001. It delivers a single 12 volt rail for the server's internal components. The unit is supplied new and ready for installation in compatible chassis.

Mute cooling and steady 12V output

The mute fan profile keeps acoustic output low during typical workloads while maintaining stable 12 volt delivery. Power draw scales with the connected server load, drawing only what the system requires. Thermal performance is managed by the integrated fan curve without additional configuration.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DPS-800GB A power supply into an HP DL380G5 server and what step is often missed?

Slide the unit into the hot-plug bay until the latch clicks, then verify the 12V rail is seated by checking the front LED; the step often missed is not pushing far enough for the latch to engage.

What maintenance will the DPS-800GB A need over its life in an HP DL380G5?

Clean the intake vents every few months to keep the mute fan running quietly; the unit is hot-swappable so a replacement DPS-800GB A can be fitted without shutting down the 380 server.
