HP ML370 G6 Power Backplane

This replacement backplane fits the HP ML370 G6 server chassis and carries part numbers 491836-001 and 467999-001. It distributes power from the supply units to the system board and drive cages. System administrators maintaining this generation of ProLiant hardware will find it a direct fit. Buyers who need a different form factor or a newer server platform cannot use this part.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous operation the backplane passes current to all connected modules without active cooling of its own. Its copper traces and connectors are rated for the full load the chassis power supplies can deliver. No thermal throttling or derating occurs during extended runs. Installations that require redundant power paths should verify the chassis wiring matches the backplane layout.

Questions about this item

How much power does the HP ML370G6 backplane draw when the server runs continuously?

The backplane itself does not consume measurable power; it only distributes current from the installed power supplies to the system board.

Which power supplies must already be in the chassis for this backplane to function?

It is designed for the standard HP ML370G6 hot-plug power supply modules that slide into the front bays of that server.
