Replacement power supply for HP XW8400 workstations

This 825W unit matches part numbers 408947-001 and 405351-003 for the HP XW8400 platform. It is a new server-grade power supply built to the original TDPS-825AB B specification. The module slots directly into the workstation chassis without adapter cables or firmware updates.

Single-unit package with no extra cables or software

The box contains only the power supply itself; no mounting brackets, power cords or configuration utilities are included. Buyers who need redundant power modules or additional cable harnesses must source those separately. Installers should verify the workstation chassis accepts this form factor before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the fan inside this 825 W power supply need replacement later?

The unit is a standard server power supply with an internal cooling fan; under normal server workloads the fan typically runs for years before any bearing wear appears.

What limit appears first when the TDPS-825AB B runs continuously at full load?

The 825 W output rating is the primary limit; sustained draw at that level will hit the over-current protection before thermal throttling engages.
