IBM X335 331W replacement power supply

This new 331 watt unit is built to the API1FS29 specification for the IBM X335 server. It matches part numbers 49P2012 and 49P2013 so it fits directly into the original chassis without modification. Administrators maintaining legacy X335 systems can use it as a direct spare or upgrade.

Sustained-load behaviour

The supply delivers its rated 331 watts continuously under normal server operating conditions. It is not intended for platforms that require higher continuous output or redundant hot-swap modules. Buyers needing greater capacity or N+1 redundancy should select a different power solution.

Questions about this item

How loud does the 331W API1FS29 unit get when it runs continuously in an IBM X335?

The power supply is a standard server design rated at 331W; continuous operation in an X335 chassis produces typical server-grade fan noise that varies with load and ambient temperature.

Which cables or connectors must I already have to install the 49P2012 supply in my X335?

The module plugs directly into the X335 backplane; no extra cables are required beyond the server's built-in power distribution board.
