Compatibility with RMX508 series

This power module is designed for the RMX508 1500 1800 2000 server platforms. It serves as a direct replacement or spare unit for those specific models. System administrators maintaining compatible infrastructure can use it to restore or expand power capacity. It is not suited for builders who need a different form factor or voltage specification.

Thermals noise and power draw

The module operates within the thermal and acoustic envelope defined for the RMX508 1500 1800 2000 series. Power draw scales with the connected load up to the rated limits of the host system. Fan speed adjusts automatically to maintain safe temperatures under normal server workloads. No independent efficiency or noise figures are published for this module alone.

Questions about this item

How do I install the PWS-742P-1R module into an RMX508 chassis, and what step is commonly missed?

Slide the PWS-742P-1R firmly into the RMX508 bay until the latch clicks; the step often missed is not pushing far enough to fully engage the locking tab.

What maintenance or replacement will the PWS-742P-1R need during its service life?

The PWS-742P-1R uses internal cooling fans that will eventually require replacement; plan to swap the fan assembly when airflow noise increases or RPM drops below spec.
