Dell R530, R630, R730 compatible 1600 W server PSU

This power supply is built for Dell PowerEdge R530, R630 and R730 servers that require the 95HR5 or DPS-1600EB form factor. It delivers 1600 W of continuous output for dual-processor configurations and redundant deployments.

1600 W capacity handles dual-CPU loads

The unit provides ample headroom for two high-wattage processors, large memory configurations and multiple add-in cards; it reaches its limit when total system draw exceeds 1600 W or when a non-Dell chassis lacks the matching connector keying.

Questions about this item

Will the 1600W DPS-1600EB unit share load with an existing 95HR5 supply already installed in my R730?

The DPS-1600EB and 95HR5 are both rated for the R530, R630 and R730, so the server will recognise both and balance power between them.

How can I confirm the 1600W DPS-1600EB is delivering power correctly once seated in the R630?

The R630 front-panel LEDs and iDRAC dashboard will show both supplies as present and healthy, with matching input and output readings.
