Compatible Server Power Supply

This new server power supply is built for IBM DS8700 and DS8000 storage systems. It supports the 45W8715 and 45W8714 part numbers used in the ECM 8GB controller module. The unit replaces the original power source in these enterprise arrays. It is not for builders needing a standard ATX form factor or different voltage rails.

Installation And Common Issues

The supply slides into the designated bay and locks with the integrated latch. No extra cables or adapters are required for the DS8700 or DS8000 chassis. Installers sometimes forget to seat the connector fully, causing the controller to report a power fault. Verify the latch clicks to avoid intermittent operation.
