Vehicle-specific dashboard vent

This black central dashboard air outlet vent is designed for the Volkswagen Jetta, Golf and Rabbit MK5 models. It replaces the original front vent with a direct-fit part numbered 1KD819728. The component installs in the factory location without modification.

Passive airflow component

The vent has no fan, motor or electrical connection so it adds no power draw, noise or heat to the vehicle. Airflow depends entirely on the car's climate-control system. Buyers needing active cooling or adjustable louvres will require a different solution.

Questions about this item

How is the 819728 air outlet vent installed in the dashboard?

The vent clips into the central dashboard opening; the step often missed is fully seating the retaining tabs on both sides so the vent sits flush.

What maintenance or replacement will the 819728 vent need later?

No scheduled maintenance is required; replacement is only needed if the plastic louvers crack or the clip tabs break during removal.
