Questions about this item

How does the 15K RPM spindle speed affect sustained throughput on the SAS interface?

The 15K RPM spindle keeps sequential read and write rates high during long transfers, so the SAS link stays saturated without the latency dips seen on slower drives.

What fan noise and heat output should I expect when this 300G SAS drive runs continuously in a P720 server?

The 15K RPM motor and SAS controller generate noticeable heat; the server chassis fans will ramp up to keep temperatures stable, producing a steady mid-range airflow sound.
