Server Redundant Power Module 620W

The Supersuperuncle YM-6621BAR is a 620W redundant power module designed for 3Y server platforms. It fits YM-6621B and YM-6621BAR chassis to provide hot-swap power resilience. This unit suits administrators who need continuous uptime in rack environments. It is not for builders needing a standalone desktop supply or a non-redundant form factor.

Thermals noise and power draw

The module delivers up to 620 watts while sharing load with a paired unit for redundancy. Cooling is handled by internal fans that adjust speed with server workload. Acoustic output varies with fan curve and chassis airflow design. Power draw scales with connected component demand up to the rated maximum.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 620W redundant power module in a 3Y server chassis?

Slide the YM-6621BAR unit into the hot-swap bay until the latch clicks, then secure the retaining screw; the step often missed is fully tightening that screw so the module seats on the backplane.

What maintenance will the 620W redundant power module need over time?

Periodically vacuum the intake vents and listen for fan bearing noise; if a fan becomes loud or the module reports a fault LED, replace the whole YM-6621BAR unit as it is not user-serviceable.
