Foldable neckband with retractable earbuds

The SuperTooth SX-991 is a foldable Bluetooth neckband headset designed for users who want a lightweight, portable audio solution for daily commuting or exercise. Its flexible frame collapses into a compact shape that fits inside the supplied carrying case. Weighing approximately 0.191 kilograms, it reduces neck strain during extended wear. The sweatproof construction suits indoor and outdoor workouts.

IPX5 sweatproof build and magnetic storage

The plastic neckband carries an IPX5 water-resistant rating, protecting the electronics from sweat and light rain during sports sessions. Retractable earbuds pull out to the desired length and retract automatically with a single button press, eliminating tangled cables when not in use. Three silicone tip sizes (S/M/L) are included to secure a comfortable in-ear seal. A vibration alert on the band signals incoming calls so the phone can stay in a pocket.

Bluetooth 5.0 dual-device pairing

Bluetooth 5.0 provides a stable wireless link to smartphones and supports simultaneous connection to two source devices. The lithium-polymer battery delivers up to 15 hours of talk time or music playback and 16 hours of standby time. Active noise cancellation on the microphone suppresses background hum during calls, while the AVRCP profile enables basic playback control from the headset. Charging uses the integrated battery rated at 1.11 watt-hours.

Questions about this item

What Bluetooth version does the SX-991 use, and what does it cap in practice?

It uses Bluetooth 5.0 with the AVRCP profile, which caps practical use to standard audio streaming and playback control rather than high-bitrate codecs.

What physical dimensions and weight should I expect for the neckband to fit comfortably?

The headset weighs 0.191 kilograms with a 6.3-gram battery, built on a foldable plastic neckband that stores in the included carrying case.

How do I pair the headset, and which step do people often miss?

Enable Bluetooth on your device, hold the power button until the indicator flashes, then select SX-991; the step often missed is confirming the second device connection for multipoint use.
