USB-C wired earphones for smartphones and computers

The SuperTooth WIRED M61 connects directly to USB-C audio ports on phones, tablets and laptops. A built-in digital DAC chip handles the signal conversion inside the cable. Balanced armature drivers deliver stereo sound with passive noise isolation. The set is supplied new in black.

USB-C audio port required

The single specification that decides fit is the presence of a USB-C port that supports analogue or digital audio output. Devices without that port cannot use these earphones. No adapter or wireless option is included. Check the host specification before purchase.

Plug-and-play with in-line remote

Insert the USB-C plug and the earphones are recognised instantly without drivers. The in-line module provides volume up and down, track forward and back, play, pause, answer, end and reject call functions. A frequent issue is debris in the USB-C socket causing intermittent contact or one-sided audio.

Questions about this item

How does the built-in DAC chip change the sound when I plug these into my phone?

The digital-to-analogue converter inside the cable handles the audio conversion so the phone only sends a digital signal, giving a cleaner stereo output with stronger bass than a passive analogue connection.

What does the USB-C interface actually carry for these earphones?

The USB-C plug delivers digital audio and power for the inline microphone and remote, so volume, track skip and call controls work without any battery in the earpieces.

What should I check to be sure the earpieces will sit in my ears?

The set uses a standard in-ear form factor with silicone tips; the cable is 14.33 inches wide when laid flat, so the fit depends on choosing the right tip size for your ear canal.
