Compatible toner for Gestetner DSM and MP series

This two-pack of SuppliesMax black toner cartridges replaces Gestetner part 89828_2PK and equivalent OEM numbers. Each cartridge yields approximately 30000 pages at .05 coverage for high-volume office printing. The set suits businesses and home offices that run Gestetner DSM-735E, DSM-745E, MP-4001 or MP-5001 devices.

Upgrade from depleted OEM cartridges

Swapping empty original cartridges for this compatible pair restores print density without changing workflow. The jump is worth it when print volumes are steady and cost per page matters more than brand loyalty. Buyers who need colour output or MICR encoding should look elsewhere because this pack is black-only and non-MICR.

Drop-in installation for 110 V machines

Cartridges are built to OEM dimensions so they seat directly in supported 110 V printers sold in the U.S. The most common issue is inserting a cartridge into an incompatible base model such as the DSM-735 or DSM-745, which the notes explicitly exclude. Verify the exact model label before opening the pack.

Questions about this item

Which Gestetner models accept the 89828_2PK cartridge without modification?

The cartridge fits DSM-735E, DSM-745E, DSM-745EP, DSM-745ESP, DSM-745ESPF, DSM-745ESPI, MP-4001G, MP-4001SP, MP-5001G and MP-5001SP. It does not work in DSM-735 or DSM-745 copiers.

What is the correct way to install the cartridge and what step is often missed?

Shake the cartridge gently side-to-side five or six times to distribute toner evenly, then remove the sealing tape completely before sliding it into the machine until it clicks.

When will the 30000-page black cartridge need replacement?

Replace it after approximately 30000 pages at 5% coverage, or sooner if print density drops or the machine signals low toner.
