SuppliesMax BRTTN-229XXLM Magenta Toner

This SuppliesMax cartridge is a new aftermarket toner designed for Brother colour laser printers. It replaces the OEM TN-229XXLM and TN-229VXLM supplies with a super high yield rated at 4000 pages at 0.05 coverage. The magenta cartridge suits offices and home users who need consistent colour output on supported 110V machines sold in the U.S.

Upgrade from standard yield TN-229 cartridges

The super high yield design reduces replacement frequency compared with standard capacity Brother TN-229 cartridges. The jump is worth it when monthly print volumes make the 4000 page rating economical and the printer model appears on the approved list. It does not suit buyers who need MICR toner or owners of the excluded HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3300CDW, HL-L3320CDW, MFC-L3720CDW or MFC-L3765CDW models.

Simple drop-in installation

Installation follows the standard Brother cartridge swap: open the front cover, remove the old unit, shake the new cartridge gently, and slide it in until it clicks. Common issues arise when the cartridge is forced into an incompatible model listed in the exclusions, or when the printer firmware rejects non-OEM chips despite the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 manufacturing standards. Ensure the machine is a supported 110V unit before opening the pack.

Questions about this item

Which Brother printers accept the BRTTN-229XXLM magenta cartridge?

This cartridge fits Brother HL-L3295CDW, HL-L8245CDW, MFC-L3780CDW and MFC-L8395CDW. It does not work in HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3300CDW, HL-L3320CDW, MFC-L3720CDW or MFC-L3765CDW.

What is the correct way to install the cartridge and what step do people often miss?

Open the front cover, pull out the old toner, remove the orange protective clip and tape from the new cartridge, shake it gently side to side, then slide it in until it clicks. People often forget to remove the clip and tape.

When will the magenta toner need replacing and what yields 4000 pages?

The cartridge yields about 4000 pages at 5% coverage. Replace it when the printer shows a low-toner warning or print quality fades. The drum unit is separate and will need its own replacement later.
