Compatible drum and toner combo

This SuppliesMax value pack contains one drum unit and one ultra high yield toner cartridge built to replace the Brother TN-920UXXL/DR-920 set. It fits a long list of Brother HL and MFC mono laser printers including the HL-L5215DW, HL-L6210DW, HL-L6310DW, HL-L6415DW, MFC-L5715DW, MFC-L5915DW, MFC-L6810DW and MFC-L6915DW series. The combo is manufactured to OEM specifications in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities using new and recycled components. It is designed for 110V machines sold in the U.S. and carries a 30 day manufacturer warranty.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a toner and drum consumable set this product generates no operational heat, audible noise or electrical load of its own; those characteristics belong to the printer in which it is installed. The cartridges are passive components that simply supply toner powder and a photoconductive drum to the printing engine. Print quality and machine energy use therefore remain governed by the host device and its settings.

45000 page yield at 5 percent coverage

The drum unit is rated for up to 45000 pages and the toner cartridge for up to 18000 pages, both measured at the industry standard 5 percent page coverage. This high combined yield suits offices with heavy mono print volumes and reduces the frequency of supply changes. Buyers who need colour output or who own the excluded DCP-L5510DN, HL-L5210DN, HL-L5210DWT, MFC-L5710DN, MFC-L5710DW or MFC-L5717DW models cannot use this combo.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DR-920 drum and TN-920UXXL toner together in my HL-L6210DW, and which step is often missed?

Open the front cover, remove the old drum unit, unpack the new DR-920 drum, insert the new TN-920UXXL toner cartridge into the drum until it clicks, slide the combined assembly back into the printer, then close the cover. The step most people miss is clicking the toner firmly into the drum before installing the unit.

What maintenance or replacement will this combo need after the 45000-page drum life ends?

The DR-920 drum unit is rated for 45000 pages at 5% coverage. When print quality fades or the printer signals drum end-of-life, replace the drum unit. The TN-920UXXL toner cartridge yields 18000 pages, so you will replace the toner roughly two to three times before the drum needs changing.

What limit appears first during continuous high-volume printing with this 110V-compatible combo?

The toner cartridge reaches its 18000-page yield at 5% coverage well before the drum reaches 45000 pages. Under sustained heavy use you will hit the toner limit first, requiring a toner swap while the original drum continues.
