What this product is

The SuppliesMax C9734B image transfer kit is a new aftermarket replacement part for HP Color LaserJet 5500 and 5550 series printers. It restores the transfer function inside the device so colour output remains sharp and consistent. The unit is rated for up to 120000 pages at five percent coverage.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This kit fits owners of the listed HP Color LaserJet 5500 and 5550 models who need to replace a worn transfer assembly. It is not for users of other printer families or for anyone who needs toner cartridges, fuser units or maintenance kits instead of the transfer belt assembly.

The specification that decides fit

The decisive figure is the 120000 page yield at five percent coverage, which matches the original HP C9734B rating. If your printer requires a different yield rating or a different part number, this transfer kit will not be the correct match.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the SuppliesMax C9734B transfer kit is working correctly after installing it in my HP Color LaserJet 5500?

Print a test page and check for sharp output with vibrant colour across the page; the kit is rated for 120000 pages at 5% coverage, so consistent quality over long runs indicates proper operation.

What comes in the box with the SuppliesMax C9734B image transfer kit, and do I need to buy any toner cartridges separately?

The box contains the transfer kit unit only; toner cartridges for the HP Color LaserJet 5500 or 5550 series must be purchased separately.

Which version of the transfer kit should I choose for an HP Color LaserJet 5550dn — the C9734B or the older C9734A?

Both C9734B and C9734A part numbers are listed as compatible equivalents for the 5550 series, so either version will work in your 5550dn.
