Compatible MICR toner for Canon printers

SuppliesMax Canon 3845A002AA-MICR is a new compatible black toner cartridge built for secure check and barcode printing. It replaces Canon 3845A002AA-MICR and works with imageRUNNER 3250, imageCLASS 4000 series, LBP-1910, LBP-3260, LBP-72, LBP-72X and LBP-950 printers. Yield is rated at 20000 pages at 5% coverage. Manufactured in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities for 110V U.S. machines.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

As a toner cartridge it has no moving parts, fans or active cooling so it generates no audible noise and draws no electrical power of its own. Heat is managed entirely by the printer fuser during standard office printing. Magnetic toner formulation is designed for consistent density on each page without extra warm-up cycles.

Behaviour under sustained high-volume load

The 20000 page yield at 5% coverage supports extended print runs without cartridge changes. Magnetic toner maintains bank-compliant signal strength across long batches of checks or barcodes. Cartridge is engineered to OEM specifications so print quality remains stable from first page to last. Not suited for printers outside the listed Canon models or for non-MICR printing needs.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SuppliesMax 3845A002AA-MICR cartridge in my Canon imageCLASS 4000, and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, pull out the old cartridge, gently rock the new unit five times to distribute the magnetic toner evenly, remove the sealing tape completely, then slide it in until it clicks. Many users forget the rocking step, which causes faint MICR lines on the first few cheques.

What maintenance or replacement will the SuppliesMax MICR cartridge need after the 20000-page yield is reached?

Replace the entire cartridge once print density drops or the printer signals low toner; the magnetic formulation cannot be refilled reliably and the drum is integrated, so a new 3845A002AA-MICR unit is required.

What limit appears first during continuous high-volume cheque printing with this 20000-page cartridge?

The 5 % coverage yield rating is reached first; heavy MICR fonts or dense barcodes exceed that coverage, so the toner empties before the rated 20000 pages in typical cheque runs.
