Secure Check Printing

This two-pack of SuppliesMax CF287AD-MICR toner cartridges is built for businesses that print cheques and barcodes on compatible HP LaserJet Enterprise and Managed printers. Magnetic toner meets banking standards for MICR readability. Each cartridge yields approximately 9000 pages at 5% coverage for high-volume runs.

Office Power Profile

The cartridges operate inside supported 110V U.S.-based printers without additional hardware or cooling requirements. Installation follows the standard toner swap process and draws no extra power beyond normal printer operation. Noise and thermal output remain identical to OEM cartridges during print jobs.

Build Integration

Designed as direct replacements for HP CF287AD-MICR, the cartridges fit the listed M501, M506 and M527 series devices without firmware hacks or hardware mods. The twin pack reduces reorder frequency for finance and admin teams. Not suited for printers outside the stated compatibility list or for non-MICR printing needs.

Questions about this item

How do I install the CF287AD-MICR cartridge in my HP LaserJet Enterprise M506, and what step is often missed?

Open the front door, pull the old cartridge straight out, rock the new cartridge gently five or six times to distribute the magnetic toner, remove the sealing tape completely, then slide it in until it clicks; the step most often missed is the rocking motion, which prevents streaks on the first checks.

What maintenance or replacement will this 2-pack need after the 9000-page yield is reached?

Each cartridge is rated for 9000 pages at 5% coverage; once a cartridge reaches that yield, replace it with a new CF287AD-MICR unit — no separate drum or developer kit is required for these printers.

What limit appears first during sustained high-volume check printing with this magnetic toner?

The 9000-page yield at 5% coverage is the first limit; heavy graphics or dense MICR lines reduce the practical page count before the cartridge must be swapped.
