Compatible Replacement for Citizen CBM-820

This SuppliesMax Citizen IR-82B ribbon pack is a compatible replacement for Citizen CBM-820 point-of-sale printers. It suits retail, hospitality and office environments that need reliable black printing for receipts and invoices. The six-pack quantity supports high-volume operations without frequent reordering.

Thermal Performance and Power Use

The ribbon operates inside the printer at standard 110V mains voltage with no additional power draw of its own. Ink retention is designed to remain consistent across long print runs, reducing the chance of faded output during busy periods. No cooling or noise considerations apply to the ribbon itself.

ISO-Certified Manufacturing and Warranty

Produced in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities using new and recycled components to match OEM specifications. A 30-day manufacturer warranty covers the pack, and use of compatible ribbons does not void the printer's original warranty under U.S. law. Packaging may vary without affecting quality.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SuppliesMax IR-82B ribbon in my Citizen CBM-820, and what step is often missed?

Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridge, insert the new ribbon until it clicks, then manually turn the knob to tension the ribbon before closing the cover.

What maintenance will the IR-82B ribbon need during its life?

No maintenance is required; simply replace the cartridge when print becomes faint or incomplete, typically after high-volume receipt or invoice printing.

What limit appears first when the CBM-820 runs continuous print jobs with this ribbon?

Ink depletion occurs first; the ribbon is not re-inkable, so the cartridge must be swapped once output fades.
