Purpose-built POS ribbon pack

This five-pack of purple printer ribbons is made for Unisys ENC-9000 and NDP-60 point-of-sale systems. Each cartridge is built to match the original 19-2069-896 specification so cashiers and back-office staff can keep receipt printers running without switching brands. The ribbons are manufactured in ISO-9001, ISO-9002 and ISO-14001 certified facilities and are engineered for 110 V equipment used in North America. Using these compatibles does not affect the printer warranty.

Thermal behaviour and power

Ribbon printing generates minimal heat and operates silently during normal transactions. No active cooling or additional power draw is introduced beyond the printer’s own mechanism. The cartridges are air-sealed at the factory to prevent ink drying, so they remain ready for use after storage. Routine replacement intervals depend only on print volume, not on temperature or noise constraints.

Build quality and daily handling

The pack contains five individually sealed ribbons that slot directly into the ENC-9000 or NDP-60 ribbon carriage without adapters. Purple ink is formulated to match OEM colour density for legible receipts and audit trails. Packaging may vary between shipments but the cartridge dimensions and fit remain consistent. The manufacturer provides a 30-day warranty on each ribbon. Buyers who need a different ribbon colour or a cartridge for non-Unisys printers should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the ribbon cartridge in my Unisys ENC-9000 and which orientation step catches people out?

Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridge, insert the new purple ribbon with the exposed ribbon facing the print head and the drive gear meshing with the printer spindle, then close the cover; the common mistake is seating the cartridge upside-down so the gear does not engage.

What replacement will each ribbon in the 5-pack need after its ink is depleted?

Each ribbon is a single-use consumable; once the purple ink is exhausted the entire cartridge must be replaced with a new compatible ribbon — there is no separate ink refill or re-inking kit for this model.

What limit appears first during continuous high-volume printing on the Unisys NDP-60?

The ribbon substrate wears and the purple ink depletes simultaneously; print density fades before any mechanical part of the printer fails, signalling that the cartridge has reached its usable life.
