Compatible Drum Unit for Brother Printers

This SuppliesMax drum unit replaces the Brother DR-420_2PK in a wide range of monochrome laser printers and multifunction devices. It fits models such as the DCP-7060, HL-2240, MFC-7240 and IntelliFax 2840 series. The two-pack suits offices or home users who want a ready spare and consistent black output.

Rated Yield of 12000 Pages at Five Percent Coverage

The single figure that determines whether this unit matches your volume is the 12000-page rating measured at standard five percent coverage. If your daily print load regularly exceeds that yield, you will replace the drum more often than the rating suggests. Buyers who need a higher page count per unit should look for a drum with a larger stated yield.

Steady Output Over Extended Print Runs

The drum is built to maintain crisp black text and clear contrast across the full rated life rather than only in short bursts. Quality components reduce the risk of streaks or fading as the unit ages. It installs easily in supported 110V printers sold in the U.S. and comes with a 30-day manufacturer warranty.

Questions about this item

How many pages will the 12000 page yield actually deliver in my Brother HL-2240?

The 12000 page yield is measured at 5% coverage. Real world output varies with page density, duplex printing and environmental conditions. Expect fewer pages with heavy graphics or solid fills.

Does the DR-420 drum unit use a standard interface that limits compatibility?

The drum unit is a mechanical replacement for Brother DR-420 and DR-2200 part numbers. It fits the listed Brother DCP, HL, MFC and IntelliFax models without an electronic interface restriction.

Will this two pack drum unit fit inside my Brother MFC-7360N without extra hardware?

Yes. The units are built to OEM dimensions for the compatible Brother printers. They install directly into the drum slot of each supported model with no brackets or adapters required.
