Product identity

This SuppliesMax compatible black printer ribbon replaces Epson S015339 and fits the PLQ-20, PLQ-20D, PLQ-20M, PLQ-22, PLQ-22CS, PLQ-22CSM and PLQ-22M passbook printer series. The pack contains six ribbons built to OEM specifications for dot-matrix machines used in banking, retail and office environments. Buyers needing colour ribbons or toner cartridges for laser printers will not find them here.

Thermals noise and power

Ribbon cartridges have no moving parts, fans or electrical draw, so they add no heat or noise to the printer. Operation stays within the thermal and acoustic profile of the host device. Power consumption is unchanged because the ribbon is a passive consumable. There are no ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 operating limits to observe beyond normal printer specifications.

Upgrade path

The six-pack suits sites that currently buy single OEM ribbons and want fewer reorders. It replaces Epson part numbers S015339, E-PLQ20-BL, C56002 and their US variants without modifying the printer. The jump is worthwhile when print volumes are high enough to justify bulk stock; low-volume users who print only occasional receipts may not need the larger pack.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SuppliesMax Epson S015339 ribbon in my PLQ-22CSM passbook printer, and what step do people often miss?

Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridge, insert the new ribbon until it clicks, then manually turn the ribbon-tightening knob clockwise to remove slack before closing the cover — skipping that knob turn causes immediate print smudging.

What maintenance will this six-pack of black ribbons require over time?

Each ribbon is a single-use cartridge; when print fades you replace the whole cartridge — no re-inking, no separate roller cleaning, and the pack gives you five more ready-to-go units.

What limit appears first during continuous high-volume printing with these ribbons?

Ink depletion is the first limit; the ribbon yields consistent output until the ink runs out, at which point print density drops and the cartridge must be swapped.
