Compatible MICR Toner for HP LaserJet 5Si

This two-pack of SuppliesMax MICR toner cartridges replaces the HP C3909AD-MICR and is built for businesses that print cheques or magnetic-ink documents. Each black cartridge yields approximately 15000 pages at five percent coverage. The magnetic formulation meets banking standards for secure cheque and barcode output on supported 110V U.S. printers.

Yield and coverage limits

The 15000-page figure applies only at the standard five percent coverage used for industry testing. Pages with heavy graphics, bold text or full-coverage forms will consume toner faster and reduce the actual page count. Users printing dense cheque batches should expect a lower yield and plan replacements accordingly.

Installation notes and common issues

Cartridges are engineered to OEM dimensions for direct insertion into the listed HP LaserJet 5Si, 8000, Mopier 240 and Troy MICR models. The most frequent problem occurs when the printer firmware does not recognise a compatible chip, which can trigger a non-HP supply warning. Reseating the cartridge or updating the printer firmware usually resolves the alert.

Questions about this item

How many cartridges come in this pack and what is the page yield per cartridge?

The pack contains two black MICR toner cartridges, each rated for up to 15000 pages at 5% coverage.

What does the 15000 page yield mean for everyday check printing?

At the standard 5% coverage used for yield testing, each cartridge should produce roughly 15000 pages; heavy graphics or dense MICR lines will reduce that number.

Which printers does the C3909AD-MICR cartridge work with?

It fits HP LaserJet 5si, 5si Mopier, 5si Mx, 5si Nx, 8000, 8000DN, 8000-MFP, 8000N, Mopier 240, Troy MICR 524, 5si, 624, 8000 and several compatible models.
