SuppliesMax HP Q5949X-MICR toner for check printing

This SuppliesMax cartridge replaces the HP Q5949X-MICR and fits HP LaserJet 1320 and 3390 series printers. Magnetic toner formulation meets banking standards for secure cheque and barcode output. Yield reaches 6000 pages at .05 coverage for consistent high-volume runs.

Drop-in installation with OEM-fit engineering

Cartridge seats directly into supported 110V U.S.-based printers without tools or firmware steps. Manufacturing to OEM specifications using new and recycled components reduces misfeeds and toner scatter. A 30-day manufacturer warranty covers early defects if they appear.

Magnetic toner limits output to MICR-readable

Standard text and graphics print normally but the formulation is optimised for bank-compliant MICR lines rather than photo or colour work. Page yield assumes .05 coverage; dense forms or solid blocks will reduce the 6000-page figure. Not suited for printers outside the listed 1320 and 3390 families.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the SuppliesMax HP Q5949X-MICR cartridge is printing checks correctly after installation?

Print a test check and confirm the MICR line at the bottom reads accurately with a magnetic scanner; the toner yields up to 6000 pages at 5% coverage for consistent output.

What comes in the box with the SuppliesMax HP Q5949X-MICR and do I need a separate drum unit?

The box contains one new black MICR toner cartridge; no separate drum is required because the drum is integrated into this HP 49X form factor.

Should I choose the 6000-page MICR version or a standard yield cartridge for my HP LaserJet 1320?

Choose this 6000-page MICR cartridge when you need magnetic toner for bank-compliant check printing; standard cartridges lack the MICR formulation required for secure processing.
