Secure Check Printing Cartridge

This SuppliesMAX MICR toner cartridge replaces HP Q6511AD-MICR and comes in a 2-pack of black cartridges. Each unit yields approximately 6000 pages at five percent coverage. The magnetic formulation meets banking standards for cheque and barcode production. It is built for 110V U.S.-based printers listed in the compatibility data.

Compatible Printer Owners vs Other Users

The pack suits owners of HP LaserJet 2400, 2410, 2420 or 2430 series printers and Troy MICR 2420 or 2430 secure models that require MICR output. Offices printing standard documents without magnetic encoding will not need this specialised toner. Buyers using non-listed printer models should confirm fitment before purchase.

Magnetic MICR Formulation

The defining specification is the magnetic MICR toner that enables bank-compliant cheque and barcode printing. Standard toner cartridges lack this property and will not satisfy financial-document requirements. Verify that your workflow demands MICR output before selecting this product.

Questions about this item

Which printer models accept the SuppliesMax HP Q6511AD-MICR cartridge?

The cartridge fits HP LaserJet 2400, 2410, 2420 and 2430 series printers, including the 2420D, 2420DN, 2420N, 2430DN and 2430TN variants, plus Troy MICR 2420 and 2430 models.

Will the MICR toner work in a standard LaserJet 2420 that currently uses a regular HP 11A cartridge?

Yes, the magnetic toner is a direct replacement for the HP Q6511AD-MICR and installs in the same slot, so the printer will recognise it and print secure checks or barcodes alongside normal documents.

How can I verify the cartridge is delivering the rated 6000-page yield at 5% coverage?

Print a supplies status page from the printer menu; it reports pages printed and toner remaining, letting you track actual yield against the 6000-page specification.
