Six-Pack Ribbon Replacement

This six-pack supplies purple/red dot-matrix ribbons built to match the original IBM 1299087PR specification. Each cartridge is designed for high-volume business printing such as receipts and invoices. The multi-colour ink formulation is engineered for consistent density and minimal replacement frequency. Compatible machines include a wide range of IBM, Ricoh, HP, Teal, Texas Instruments and other legacy models.

Simple Cartridge Swap

Installation follows the standard drop-in procedure for the listed dot-matrix printers: open the cover, remove the spent ribbon and seat the new cartridge until it clicks. The most common issue is misaligned ribbon feed causing smudged characters; ensure the ribbon advances freely before closing the cover. No tools or firmware updates are required for any of the supported devices.

Verify Model Before Ordering

Confirm that your printer appears in the compatibility list, which covers models such as the IBM 1217, 3762 Journal and numerous Ricoh, HP and Teal units. Machines not listed may have different ribbon dimensions or spool tension. Check the existing cartridge for the 1299087PR part reference to avoid mismatched fit.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the ribbon is printing correctly after installing it in my IBM 3762 Journal Printer?

Print a test receipt or journal entry and verify both purple and red characters appear sharp, aligned and free of smudges across the full print width.

What comes in the pack and do I need any extra parts for my Ricoh 1217?

Six purple/red ink ribbons are included; no additional cartridges, spools or tools are required for the listed Ricoh 1217 or any other compatible model.

Should I choose the 6-pack or a different quantity for high-volume use on an EBM 2000?

The product is offered only as a 6-pack; ordering multiple packs is the way to increase supply for heavy daily printing on the EBM 2000.
