SuppliesMax Lexmark 12A7315 High Yield Toner

This SuppliesMax cartridge replaces Lexmark 12A7315 toner for Optra T420, T420D, T420DN and T420N printers. It delivers black output at a 10000 page yield measured at 5% coverage. The unit is built to OEM specifications for business and personal printing.

Installation and common issues

Installation follows the standard Lexmark cartridge swap and takes under a minute in supported 110V printers. The most frequent issue is a 'toner low' message that appears before the 10000 pages are actually used. Reseating the cartridge usually clears the alert.

Capacity and headroom

The 10000 page rating at .05 coverage suits daily office volumes and high-yield batch jobs. Heavy graphics or dense text pages reduce the practical yield well below the rated figure. Colour printing is not supported by this black-only cartridge.

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a drum unit separately?

The pack contains one black toner cartridge; the drum is a separate consumable not included and must be purchased if yours is worn.

Should I choose the 12A7315 high-yield version or a standard-yield alternative for my T420D?
