SuppliesMax MICR Toner for Lexmark MX-717de

This two-pack of black high-yield toner cartridges is built for businesses that print cheques or other magnetic-ink documents on Lexmark MX-717de and MX-718de printers. Each cartridge is manufactured to OEM specifications in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities. The magnetic formulation meets banking standards for secure MICR output.

Practical limits of the MICR standard

The toner must be paired with a genuine MICR drum unit; a standard drum will not produce readable magnetic characters. Yield is rated at 25000 pages measured at five percent coverage, so dense text or graphics will reduce the actual page count. The cartridges are engineered for 110V U.S.-market printers only.

Capacity and headroom for cheque printing

Two cartridges provide enough toner for roughly fifty thousand pages at the standard coverage figure, supporting high-volume cheque runs without frequent changes. When coverage exceeds the five percent baseline, expect proportionally fewer pages per cartridge. The product is not suitable for printers outside the named Lexmark models or for non-MICR printing workflows.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the single cartridge or the 2 pack for my MX-717de?

The 2 pack contains two black high-yield MICR cartridges, each rated for 25000 pages at 5% coverage, giving you a spare for uninterrupted check printing.

What does the 25000 page yield mean for daily check printing on an MX-718de?

At 5% coverage each cartridge yields up to 25000 pages, so a typical office printing cheques and barcodes can expect that volume before replacement.

Does this toner work with the standard drum in my Lexmark MX-717de?

No, the cartridge must be used with a MICR drum unit only; it is not compatible with a standard drum.
